The Hywell Machinery EYH series Rocking Powder Mixer, which is also known as the 2D powder mixer or two-dimensional mixer, is used for large volumes of powder mixing. The rocking powder mixer is a newly developed mechanism. The principle of the large capacity powder mixer combination used in this machine is similar to the V-type mixer, 3D mixer, and cone blender, but it is more powerful and efficient.

Rocking Powder Mixer Introduction

The mixing chamber of the rocking powder mixer moves along three axes (X, Y, and Z) while the mixing blades inside the chamber rotate. This three-dimensional motion generates more force on the blades, ensuring the materials are thoroughly mixed in a shorter production time.

Once the mixing process is complete, the discharge can be carried out automatically or manually within 3–5 minutes.

This rocking powder mixer is a compact system that requires minimal space. It is easy to operate, quiet, and safe, with a simple mixing chamber design that allows for easy cleaning. This machine is an ideal solution for GMP-compliant food and pharmaceutical production.

 For small-batch powder mixing, Hywell Machinery's SYH 3D mixer and V-type mixer can be used. Two-dimensional mixers can use the vacuum feeder to feed the materials.

Structure and Working Principle of Rocking Powder Mixers

Rocking powder mixers are primarily composed of three main sections: the rotating barrel, the swinging frame, and the machine base. The barrel is mounted on the swinging frame and supported by four wheels, with its axial position secured by two stop wheels. Two of the four supporting wheels are driven by the transmission system to rotate the barrel. The swinging frame is powered by a crankshaft and connecting rods attached to the machine base, and the frame itself is supported by the base.

The rotating barrel of the two-dimensional (2D) mixer performs two simultaneous motions: rotation and swinging. While the barrel rotates on its own axis, it also swings back and forth along the swinging frame. During rotation, the materials inside the barrel tumble, and during the swinging motion, the materials move from side to side. The combination of these two motions ensures uniform and efficient mixing in a short period of time.
