Swing Granulator Introduction

The swing granulator is also called the oscillating granulator, the sway granulator is the most important wet granulation machine. Swing Granulators Description

The Swing Granulator has one rotor, which oscillates on a horizontal axis. There is one screen of your required mesh size mounted at the bottom of the rotor which can be removed and remounted easily; its tension is also adjustable. The product is loaded from the top through the infeed hopper, and the material falls on the rotor blade. The particles are broken down by a set the oscillating rotors as it moves from side to side. The sharp edges on the rotor, the oscillating movement of the rotor, and the subsequent pressure of the product against the screen allow the size reduction of the granular material to take place as the material gets pushed through the screen mesh.

The driving mechanism of the lab swing granulator is totally enclosed in the machine body and its lubrication system improves the lifetime of the mechanical components. Components of Swing Granulator

The swing granulator consists of various components. the Oscillating Granulation machine includes the feeder hopper, rotor, sieve, hand wheel, Motor and Gearbox, and Control Panel.

1. Feed Hopper

The feed hopper is used to load the materials to be granulated. Since the swing granulator can be used for wet granulation, the hopper is designed to hold pre-wetting materials. and the hopper is made of stainless steel and all welded and polished.

2. Swing Rotor

The swing rotor comes in a stainless-steel construction. the rotor is mounted at the bottom of the feed hopper. This component features multiple arms that are arranged in a cylindrical fashion. These rotor arms with sharp edges function as blades to break down the large agglomerates. base the machine model, one set machine can install one rotor or two rotors. The rotor works by oscillating and rotating on a horizontal axis. It rotates from side to side to crush the oversized product to be granulated.

3. Sieve

The sieve comes in a perforated metal sheet. It functions as a mesh screen and half wraps around the oscillating rotor from the bottom. With a stainless-steel construction, the sieve works to grade and screen the particles crushed by the oscillating rotor.

The oscillating granulator sieve is available in various sizes and perforated types. Sieve helps achieve the desired particle sizes depending on your production needs. Our sieve has a round and square model. The perforated metal sheet's smallest hole is 1.5mm, if the hole is small than 1.5mm, it can use the steel net sieve or nylon sieve.

4. Hand Wheels

The swing granulator machine generally has a pair of hand wheels. They come with removable bars to secure the sieve and adjust its tension. When the mesh screen needs to be replaced, you can unscrew the retaining nuts to pull out the adjustment bars without tools.

5. Motor and gearbox

The oscillating granulator machine drive unit includes the motor and gearbox. and the motor gearbox is installed on the base of the wet granulator. The rotor is driven by the motor and gearbox to deliver oscillating and rotating motions for the granulation process.

6. Control Panel
